Step back in time and help bring steam back to life at FULL STEAM AHEAD, a family-friendly fundraiser benefiting the Kentucky Railway Museum’s iconic L&N Steam Locomotive 152.
Experience the sights, sounds and excitement of a real, live steam engine while supporting an important piece of Kentucky’s railroad history.
This two-day open house will feature train rides, pulled by our guest steam locomotive Jeddo Coal #85 also known as “Mack”. Guests will also enjoy museum tours, a chance to meet the restoration team, learn about the work underway on No. 152, discover how they can help keep steam railroading alive for future generations. Bring the whole family, ride the rails, and FULL STEAM AHEAD with us as we work together to restore this historic 1905 locomotive.
TRAIN RIDES: 10:00 am, 12:00 pm, 2:00 pm and 4:00 pm both Saturday and Sunday.

CABOOSE TRAIN RIDES May 16-17
Once the rolling office of conductors and brakemen, the caboose kept watch over every mile of track. Step inside the caboose and enjoy the ride. Wave to onlookers, watch the rails stretch behind you, and enjoy the most historic seat on the train.
